Indic Wisdom, an agri-produce startup, has raised Rs 4 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The round also saw participation from Mahendra Sankhe, Launch Capital, Bifco Finance, and several other high-net-worth individuals (HNIs).
According to a press release issued by the company, they will use the funds to enhance the brand’s visibility, expand its distribution network, and augment production capacity to bolster market presence and operational efficiency.
Established by Kaustubh Khare and Prajakta Khare, Indic Wisdom manufactures food staples, primarily focusing on wood-pressed oils. The company prides itself on employing traditional food preparation methods while consistently innovating and adhering to modern quality standards.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Indic Wisdom’s extensive range of oils and multi-channel presence contribute significantly to its market positioning. Presently, the company operates at a scale where it extracts 70,000 litres of oil per month.
In a recent development, angel investment platform Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) revealed its exit from 14 startups in 2023, offering its investors an initial rate of return (IRR) of 61%. This announcement marks IPV’s involvement in 38 exits over the past five years.
